Location: Kickside of Montgomery (1225 State Rd, Princeton, NJ)

TESTING TIMES

Testing Group Start Time

Green – Sr. Blue Belts 10:00 AM
Brown – Black Belts 11:00 AM

Testing times and applications are for your current rank, not the new one.

Colored belt testing application (for White – Sr. Red)
Black belt testing application (for all Black Belt ranks)

Testing Procedures:

  • A list of eligible students for this testing will be posted in the lobby. Please check for your/your child’s name on the list BEFORE filling out a testing application.
  • Brown belts and above must list their board breaks at the bottom (and get them approved by an instructor).
  • If you need a different belt size than the one listed on the testing list, please let us know!

Students are required to know their belt information, earn necessary stripes, and attend the required minimum number of classes for their level. Please visit the belt info page for a list of all this information.

Make-up testings are available the Tuesday after testing. Cost is $25. Private make-up testings available at private lesson fees, and only as schedule allows.

Sparring Gear and Black Belt Packs: Order on the KickShop
All Sr. Yellow Belts and any other ranks who need replacement items must order sparring gear through Kickside Martial Arts — available on the KickShop. Due to minimum order requirements, students who miss the ordering deadline of February 1st need to wait until June testing to receive their order.

Sr. Red and Black Belts who need black gear or weapons may order through the KickShop. Additional fees may apply for any rush orders, or students may need to wait until the next group order is placed for June testing to avoid fees.

BOARD BREAKING: Brown Belts and above must supply their own boards for testing. It is recommended that you bring extra boards in case one breaks during practice or set-up. Breaks must be approved prior to test and written in on student’s testing application. You may purchase bundles of 25 through our KickShop. See board breaking page for more information.

Revised Schedules will take place for the week following testing, due to the number of students between ranks. Schedules to come.

Rank ceremonies will take on Friday 2/16 at Kickside of Hillsborough
No regular classes on that day.
