NJMAA Classic (Tournament) – No classes
November 11, 2017
On November 11, 2017, the New Jersey Martial Arts Alliance is hosting its first RETRO style martial arts tournament! Due to judges meetings and instructor presence for set-up, there will be no regular classes on Saturday 11/11.
At the NJMAA Classic, you will see judges wearing their oldest tournament shirts and throwback NJMAA rules from the early 2000s. Get ready, because the spectators and competitor excitement will be through the roof!
What is different about this event?
1) return of the 2 & 3 point jump kicks in point sparring
2) hand calls when scoring forms, which means more tie-breaks
3) exact start and end times will keep your tournament competition experience to around 1 hour.

Approximate division times are as follows:
Black Belts: 3:00 pm
Brown – Sr Red: 3:45 pm
White – Sr. Yellow & Pee-Wees: 4:30 pm
Green – Sr. Blue: 5:15 pm
Competitors will receive EXACT division start and end times two days prior to the competition.

12:00 pm White – Sr. Yellow
1:00 pm Green - Sr. Brown
This testing is for students not promoted at the June primary testing.
