About us

Kickside Martial Arts has been teaching fun, exciting, and simple to learn martial arts to children, teens, and adults since 1997. Our award-winning classes and top-notch instructors are what make us the martial arts school with the most client referrals in the area.

Kickside Martial Arts creates a well-rounded and situation-prepared martial artist.

Forms

We teach muscle-building and fat-burning traditional forms (self defense patterns with a combination of punches, blocks, and kicks).

Sparring

Students learn the most up-to-date fighting style. Whereas some martial arts schools teach sport fighting, which is based on rules and opponent restrictions, Kickside Martial Arts teaches a head-to-toe, street applicable fighting style.

Self Defense

Instead of exclusively teaching rehearsed routines, our program teaches concept builders to allow students to improvise for any attack and escape with ease.

Weapons

A number of traditional martial arts weapons are taught to advanced students. At the black belt level, techniques are combined into a form that acts as a demonstration of a weapon fight.

Other Styles

Kickside Martial Arts also offers full contact fighting (featuring boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, and grappling techniques) to members, ages 15 and up. Private lessons are offered in Haidong Gumdo, a Korean sword art.
