DESCRIPTION:Primary testing for all NJMAA schools has been postponed due to the number of snow days and cumulative preparation of eligible students to Saturday\, February 27th.\nThere will be no Zoom classes on 2/27 due to instructor presence at testing. \nLocation: Kickside of Montgomery (1225 State Rd\, Princeton\, NJ) \nTESTING TIMES \n\n\n\nTesting Group\nStart Time\n\n\nWhite – Sr. Yellow Belts (Juniors)\n9:15 am\n\n\nWhite – Sr. Brown Belts (Teens/Adults)\n9:15 am\n\n\nGreen – Sr. Green Belts (Juniors)\n10:00 am\n\n\nBrown – Sr. Brown (Juniors) & Red Belts (All Ages)\n10:45 am\n\n\nBlue – Sr. Blue Belts (Juniors)\n11:45 am\n\n\nSr. Red/2nd Dan Black Belt Candidates \n11:45 am\n\n\nProbationary and Decided Black Belts\n12:15 pm\n\n\n\nTesting times and applications are for your current rank\, not the new one. \nColored belt testing application (for White – Sr. Red Belts)\nBlack belt testing application (for all Black Belt ranks) \nTesting Procedures/Precautions: \n\nStudents must wear a properly-fitted face mask \n6 ft distance should be maintained whenever possible.\nIf we believe health is compromised in any way\, student will be excused from test\nSparring will NOT take place at this testing\, however\, students should bring their sparring gear to work on targets. Instructors will be looking for controlled techniques and understanding of target areas.\nHealth screening/assessment must be filled out and returned by all participants on the morning of the testing 2/27:\nLoading… \nSpectators will not be allowed in the building due to capacity limitations. Register for the live stream below:\n\n\nA list of eligible students for this testing will be posted in the lobby and shared on Zoom. Please find your/your child’s name on the list and fill out a testing application. Brown belts and above need to list their board breaks at the bottom (and get those breaks approved by an instructor when turning in the application). If you need a different belt size than the one listed\, please let us know. \nStudents are required to know their belt information\, earn necessary stripes\, and attend the required minimum number of classes for their level. Please visit the belt info page for a list of all this information. \nMake-up\, semi-private (max 3 students) and private testings available (Costs: ($25\, $35\, and $50 respectively). Contact us to schedule. \nVirtual testing option will be made available at Secondary Testing\, in March. Camera set-up will need to be approved prior to that testing date. More info to come.  \nSPARRING EQUIPMENT ORDER FORM\nAll Sr. Yellow Belts must also turn in a Sparring Equipment order form by February 12th. All sparring gear must be ordered through Kickside Martial Arts. Due to minimum order requirements\, students who miss the ordering deadline may need to wait until June to receive gear. \nBLACK BELT PACK: (embroidered heavy-weight uniform\, black gear\, bag and weapons) \nSave 20% on black belt pack orders completed before Primary Testing (due date January 22\, 2021). Due to required order minimums with our vendors\, we are unable to extend discounts for single orders that come after this deadline. Regular pricing will apply for students who order after their testing date. To avoid additional shipping fees\, students may wait until the next group order is placed on or around May 15th.  \nBOARD BREAKING: Brown Belts and above must supply their own boards for testing. It is recommended that you bring extra boards in case one breaks during set-up. Breaks must be approved prior to test and written in on student’s testing application. You may purchase bundles of 25 through our KickShop. See board breaking page for more information. \nWe will not follow a revised schedule of classes for the week after testing. Rank ceremonies will not take place due to COVID-19 restrictions\, but we will offer a belt pick-up on Friday 3/5 (or later) at your “home” location.
