SUMMARY:Primary Testing - February 2015
DESCRIPTION:Primary testing for all NJMAA schools will be held on Saturday\, February 7th at the South Ridge Community Church gymnasium (7 Pittstown Rd.\, Clinton\, NJ). There will be NO REGULAR CLASSES on this day due to mandatory instructor presence at this event.\n \nNote: Testing and rank ceremony times are for your CURRENT RANK\, not the rank you are testing to become! Students should arrive 15 min early for their testing. \n\n\n\nCurrent Belt Rank\nTesting Start Time\n\n\nWhite through Sr. Yellow Belt\n9:00 am\n\n\nAdults (White – Red Belt)\n10:00 am\n\n\nGreen through Sr. Blue Belt\n11:00 am\n\n\nBrown through Red Belt\n12:45 pm\n\n\nSr. Red and All Black Belts\n2:00 pm\n\n\n\nTesting Procedures: \nClick here for the colored belt testing application (for White – Sr. Red Belts) \nClick here for the black belt testing application (for all Black Belt ranks) \nAll students must turn in the appropriate TESTING APPLICATION by October 4th! Study belt information for your current belt rank (available under the “Belt Info” tab). Students must meet the minimum class requirement and earn all stripes before being eligible to test. \nSPARRING EQUIPMENT ORDER FORM: All Sr. Yellow Belts must also turn in a Sparring Equipment order form by January 24th. All sparring gear must be ordered through Kickside Martial Arts. \nBLACK BELT PACK: All Black Belt Candidates that want a HW uniform\, black gear and weapons must turn in a Black Belt Pack order form by January 10th. \nBOARD BREAKING: Brown Belts and above must supply their own boards for testing. It is recommended that you bring extra boards in case one breaks during set-up. DESCRIPTION:$60 per person – limited to 20 people \nTaught by: Mrs. Roxanne Chmielewski\, 4th Dan\n(Martial Arts Hall of Fame and Rated #1 Nationally for Creative Forms) \nWhat will be taught:\nTournament Style forms: This seminar will take the form you currently know and give you the\nknowledge to convert it to become a form the judges will throw big scores at.\nCreative Style Forms: In Open Tournaments there is a division called “Creative” this allows the\ncompetitor to take some creative freedom with his/her form and have a chance to really show off\nyour stuff.\nJudges Presentation: At National and International tournaments most events require the presentation\nof the competitor to the judges. This is a big part of the scoring process for the competitor.\nAdvanced Kicking Drills: The building blocks to make it into the Extreme divisions are advanced\nkicking!
